Sara Pinto is an award-winning author and illustrator of many critically acclaimed picture books for children, including the perennial pre-school favourite, The Alphabet Room and its companion counting book, The Number Garden as well as Apples & Oranges; Going Bananas with Pairs (Bloomsbury). She studied art at the Philadelphia College of Art and Bennington College, in Vermont, where she earned a degree in Fine Arts.
Sara is the illustrator of Goodnight Nanny-Cam (Penguin), Kids Cook 1-2-3 and co-author of My Invisible Sister (Bloomsbury), a chapter book for 9 to 12 year-olds, which was made into a movie for Disney Television. Sara has spent the last 10 years making collage, both paper and digital and has discovered the joys of printing her work onto fabric.
Sara lives with her husband in Scotland and they have two grown-up sons and a Whippet named Tina.
